Click on the link below (or on the music player at the bottom of your screen) and hear our version of this classic tune from the great Chester Burnett.....aka: Howlin' Wolf.
FYI....the entire tune was recorded live in our band room and edited with my old iPhone....so while the recording may not be studio quality, it still puts ya in the mood for a traditional front porch blues jam.....enjoy!
January 8th at the Wright Opera House in Ouray, CO!......don't miss it!
The One Roof Blues Duo, Dave and Taylor LaRocco, will be in Telluride this weekend. They will be joining five other finalists for the Telluride Blues Challenge which is being held during the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival this weekend.
The Telluride Blues Challenge was formed out of a partnership between the Telluride Blues Society and the Colorado Blues Society. The top six entries will play at the Blues for Breakfast on Saturday, September 13 to compete for cash prizes, a premium Martin guitar courtesy of Telluride Music and a 20 minute set on the Main Stage at the 2014 Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, and a full set at the 2015 Festival.

It was an honor to play at both of these venues....and we left it all on stage for ya! Those of you who were there know what we're talking about....what a great time! The Durango Blues Train is like no other music experience around...it transforms you into a 4hour euphoric state of blues nirvana! If you didn't get a chance to make it this year, be sure to watch for it in 2015....just beware that it sells out fast!
The San Juan Brewfest is Durango's premier festival and we were honored to share the stage with many great artists. We couldn't have had a better time on stage for ya than we did last Saturday at Buckley park. We laid it all out there and came back for more to join the Hillstompers and close out the festival. With a record 50 breweries and a first-ever sold out crowd we were very excited to be a part of this year's brewfest. If you didn't make it this year, be sure to look for it in 2015....and buy your tickets early!
Finally, we'd like to thank all of the One Roof Blues fans (aka: Roofies) who kept the blues train rocking all night long and tore up the brewfest grounds this last weekend....thanks for your continued support!

This is the ultimate blues venue and we are honored to represent our hometown! The One Roof Blues trio of Taylor LaRocco, Dave LaRocco, and Randy Hays will be playing an acoustic/electric set of original and traditional blues tunes.......everything from acoustic delta, hill country blues to jumpin' barrelhouse jammin' blues! This Friday August 1st we will be in Telluride on the patio at Siam's Talay from 6-8 pm. This will be more of an acoustic, playin'-on-the-porch-step show which should be perfect for a mountaintop sunset. Be sure to stop by and enjoy the magnificent view and some of the best food you'll ever eat.....we're not kidding - your taste buds have not lived until they've been to Talay. The Talay patio is the best place to be and if we're lucky maybe Jeff or Adam (or even Mark) will join us for a few tunes!
We're still in Telluride again on Saturday August 2nd at the Tomboy Tavern starting at 8pm. This is a great venue with a full wraparound bar and complete dinner menu...so, there will be plenty of local craft beers, Moscow mules, and short ribs (with awesome mac&cheese) to go around. We'll make sure there's room for a dance floor again. We love playing at the Tomboy...our last show there was a blast and this weekend is sure to be just as jumpin' and jammin'.....you won't want to miss this one!
Thanks to all of our wonderfully dedicated fans for keepin' the blues alive...we hope to see you all out there this week!
